Buzz and Pixie Walneck began publishing The Walneck’s Classic Cycle Trader Magazine in 1978. They began hosting motorcycle swap meets 44 years ago, starting with the Santa Fe Speedway in Willow Springs. As business grew, they expanded into other states from Illinois to Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. Currently, they run over twenty motorcycle swap meets per year.

Latin American Motorcycle Association (L.A.M.A.) was founded in 1977 in Chicago’s notorious Humboldt Park neighborhood. Known by its acronym as L.A.M.A. From the beginning L.A.M.A. It was created with the intention of being a Moto Tourism club with democratic ideals. Chicago was the only chapter until the opening of the first sister chapter in Miami in 1996, a National Association was created when the first national president was elected in 1996. It is now an international association.

The Chicagoland Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parade Organization is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity. Our mission is to provide toys to individuals, youth groups, shelters, hospitals and group homes throughout the city. We are a separate and distinct entity from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.

All of the toys collected in Chicagoland Toys for Tots toy boxes are brought to our warehouse and distributed by our volunteers. In the past we donated some of the toys collected at the parade itself to U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, making us, at one time, its single largest contributor.

On September 11, 2001, Stephen, who was assigned to Brooklyn’s Squad 1, had just finished his shift when he got word over his scanner of a plane hitting the North Tower of the World Trade Center. He returned to Squad 1 to get his gear. Determined to carry out his duty, he strapped 60 lbs. of gear to his back and raced on foot through the tunnel to the Twin Towers, where he gave up his life while saving others. Stephen’s life and heroic death serve as a reminder to us all to live life to the fullest and to spend our time here on earth doing good – this is his legacy.

The All Kids Bike Kindergarten PE Learn-to-Ride Program launched in 2018 with a simple mission: to give every child in America the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike in school. The ready-to-teach program includes teacher training and certification, complete 8 lesson curriculum with lesson plans, games and activities, a fleet of 24 Strider balance-to-pedal bikes, pedal conversion kits, fully adjustable student helmets, an instructor bike with pedal conversion kit and helmet, two rolling storage racks, and access to a resource portal with live support for the life of the program, everything needed to teach kids how to ride a bike! Supported by the Strider Education Foundation, All Kids Bike Kindergarten PE Learn-to-Ride Programs are active in almost 2000 schools across all 50 states, teaching nearly 200,000 kids to ride each year and over 1 million kids throughout the 10-year lifespan of the programs already in place.
